Since the sisterhood agreement in 1994, Daejeon, South Korea and Nanjing, China have actively interacted and worked together in various fields. After the establishment of the Daejeon overseas office of Nanjing in November 2004, intimate exchange and conciliation has been established according to the local situation of each city and after planting the seed of hope called joint development, exchange between both cities has been more actively proceeding. Currently, Government exchange, culture, sports, economic exchange between both cities is expanding day by day. The Nanjing Trade office promises to develop exchange across China based on the experience of exchange between Daejeon - Nanjing.
